Snowman Tutorial

Step 1:
Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 417×610 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with #001439 color shade. Now grab the background design (if you want to use it) and insert it into your canvas.

Step 2:
Make a new layer set and name it 'Snowman Design'. In a new layer draw a white ellipse with 182 x 120 px dimensions.

Step 3:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow and Satin blending options to your white ellipse layer with the settings below.

Result:
The result should come out something like this.
Step 4:
In a new layer draw smaller white ellipse with 112 x 98 px dimensions. Then add the same layer style settings from step three (you can right click and copy the layer style, then paste it onto the new layter to make it quicker).

Step 5:
In another new layer draw a white circle on top of the white ellipse. Then add the layer style settings from step three (again, copy and paste the layer styles).

Step 6:
Now merge your 'Snowman Design' layer set so it turns into a regular layer. Then resize the snowman design through Edit > Transform > Scale.

Step 7:
Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Inner Glow blending options to your smaller snowman layer.

Result:

Step 8:
Create a new layer and draw a small black circle for the eye. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow and Stroke blending options.

Step 9:
In a new layer draw a small black ellipse for the second eye then add the layer style settings from step eight. Now in another new layer draw a slightly curved black line for the mouth.

End Result
I played about a bit more adding some rain and more snowmen and this was my result:
